The Turchin Center for the Visual Arts and An Appalachian Summer Festival are pleased to announce the winners of the 24th Rosen Outdoor Sculpture Competition & Exhibition. Their works will be installed on the Appalachian State University campus April 16 and 17, and the public is invited to participate in related celebration events.

The success of events such as An Appalachian Summer Festival involves meeting and exceeding goals on several important fronts: artistic, marketing, and financial, and thanks to the efforts of so many groups who came together to make the festival possible, it achieved success on each of those fronts.
In early August 2004, An Appalachian Summer Festival was presented with the Alfred Adams Award for Economic Development by the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce, an annual award bestowed on organizations who make a substantial contribution to the economic growth and development of our region.
