The 2012 Ford Focus SE 5-Door combines high performance and energy efficiency, with an all-new design, more ful-efficient powertrain and improved handling, along with a host of new technology features. The winner will be drawn during the concert by Chicago and The Doobie Brothers on Wednesday, July 25. Winner need not be present to win.
Raffle prizes are reportable to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as gambling winnings. The winner is required to provide a completed Form W-9 and pay 28% of the car’s fair market value to Appalachian State University Foundation, Inc. per the IRS withholding requirements before title is transferred. The 28% withholding (estimated at $4,500) will be remitted to the Internal Revenue Service and IRS Form W-2G will be issued by January 31, 2013. The winner is also responsible for vehicle tag, title, insurance, and any North Carolina state income tax reporting requirements.
