Join us for the Broyhill Chamber Ensemble’s critically acclaimed Reflections Series International, as violinist Gil Morgenstern celebrates his 35th season as Artistic Director of the chamber music ensemble that has served as the cornerstone of the festival’s classical music programming.  The opening concert, The Trio Takes Formcharts the progression of the popular trio form over 75 years, from Haydn to Beethoven to Mendelssohn.

Pre-concert remarks by Hayes School of Music Dean James Douthit, beginning at 7pm.

The Broyhill Chamber Ensemble and its Reflections Series International continues with Bridging the Classical and Romantic Divide. The program compares and contrasts the end of one compositional era and the beginning of a new one over the span of 50 years, featuring works by Beethoven, Schubert and Schumann.
