Matthew Morrison with the Greensboro Symphony
From Broadway to Glee, Matthew Morrison performs some of Broadway’s greatest hits alongside the Greensboro Symphony. Morrison is an Emmy, Tony and Golden Globe-nominated star, achieving recognition from the Satellite Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards with titles such as Best Actor in a Series and Best Performance by an Ensemble in a Television Series – Comedy or Musical.
After studying musical theater, vocal performance and dance at Tisch School of the Arts in New York, Morrison made his debut on Broadway in Footloose, followed by The Rocky Horror Picture Show. However, it was his role as Link Larkin in the original cast of Hairspray that served as his breakthrough and led to Morrison being cast in the critically acclaimed The Light in the Piazza.
Matthew Morrison released his latest Broadway-inspired album, Where It All Began, in June 2013 as a salute to the music that means the most to him. However, compared to his recordings with Adam Levine’s 222 Records and even on-screen performance as “Mr. Schuester,” the stage is where Morrison truly comes alive.

“Revealing himself to be a performer of many parts, Mr. Morrison – outfitted in a cream-colored suit, hat and bowtie – struck the pose of a cool, suave, modern song-and-dance man.” - New York Times
