Hotel Sponsorship Program

Appalachian State University's Office of Arts & Cultural Programs is pleased to offer a new sponsorship opportunity to a small, select group of hotel partners. In partnership with these properties, OACP staff will design and promote a premium arts getaway package that includes accommodations and tickets to arts events held during An Appalachian Summer Festival and the Performing Arts Series - a complete package that the client orders from the hotel with one phone call or mouse click.

The Office of Arts & Cultural Programs:

  • Promotes getaway packages, with specific mentions of each hotel partner in press releases, distributed to over 600 local, regional, national and international media outlets three times annually.
  • Includes specific sales information and a photo for each property in a featured page of the festival and Performing Arts Series brochures. Approximately 65,000 (45,000 festival brochures and 20,000 PAS brochures) distributed to an inclined list of festival and PAS attendees, visual arts patrons, local and regional chambers of commerce and TDAs, NC welcome centers and visitors' centers.
  • Includes specific sales information and a photo for each property in a featured page of the festival playbill. Approximately 6,100 distributed at festival performances.
  • Provides complimentary, 1/2-page, color ad in festival playbill.
  • Provides in-lobby promotions as part festival auction display. Approximately 32,000 impressions during June and July.
  • Includes specific sales information on festival and PAS websites, with photo to each property and link to property reservation site (if arts package is available via online reservations). An Appalachian Summer Festival receives approximately 1,780,000 hits in the pre-season sales period and festival season (Feb - July). The Performing Arts Series receives approximately 400,000 hits annually.
  • Offers additional, customized promotions package - designed with hotel Marketing Director - to promote getaway packages.

The hotel partner:

  • Provides festival and PAS with $6,000 (combination of available inventory and cash, to be determined on an individual basis). Inventory to be used for artists and VIPs from July - April annually.
  • Provides additional, weekend hotel package for sale in festival auction (hotel to apply any necessary restrictions).
  • Books arts packages for clients who call or reserve on line.
  • Links to festival and PAS websites from property websites.
