Come and explore the Boone area for a true mountain experience like no other. From the majestic peaks of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the scenic overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Boone area provides many opportunities to relax and enjoy nature’s beauty.

Spending the day outside enjoying many different hiking trails, waterfalls and water activities like canoeing, kayaking, rafting or tubing make the Boone area a great destination for re-connecting with the family. And, the cool summer temperatures and mountain breezes are a refreshing escape from the heat. When the temperatures hit 90 degrees or higher where you live, chances are we are chillin’ at a cool 75 degrees!

In addition to An Appalachian Summer Festival, area attractions like Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad and the annual summer production of Horn in the West are popular summer stops for visitors.
