Artist Spotlight Series
This series offers a compelling, behind-the-scenes perspective on festival programming by shining a light on the creative process and practice of selected artists featured during An Appalachian Summer Festival.
Moderated by Dr. James Douthit, with previous competition winners Winfred Felton and Amber Koeppen
Hayes School of Music Dean, Dr. James Douthit, hosts a panel featuring past winners of this remarkable competition program that has played a pivotal role in launching the careers of young artists pursuing careers in classical music. The competition celebrates its 12th season this summer, serving as a major point of pride for An Appalachian Summer Festival.
